Chrispas Nyombi is a Reader (Associate Professor) in International Commercial Law and Director of Research in Law at Canterbury Christ Church University. He has been invited to undertake editorial work for some of the leading journals in the field including the European Competition Law Review, the International Business Law Journal and the International Company and Commercial Law Review (Sweet & Maxwell). He has authored (and co-authored) several books including “Principles of Company Law in Uganda” published by LawAfrica Publishers 2014 and “The International Investment Agreements of the IGAD Member States” by Wildy, Simmonds & Hill Publishing 2019. His research and professional engagements have directly contributed to policy developments such as the enactment of the Uganda Companies Act 2012 and the Uganda Investment Code 2019. Chrispas’ research is supported by a number of external roles, working for governmental bodies such as the Uganda Law Reform Commission and the Uganda Investment Authority and regional bodies such as the East African Community and the IGAD, on developing regulatory frameworks to improve and support the protection and promotion of foreign investment.
